Children and youth services are for preschool-aged children through high school. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together to pray, sing, and enjoy services as a group. Programming will be held in the Education Building and in the synagogue building itself.
BABYSITTING – Babysitting will be available for children ages 0 – 12 months.
CHILDREN & YOUTH PROGRAMS –
A full range of age-appropriate services and programs for age 2 through 12th grade will be held. Times and locations will be posted when you arrive at synagogue.
For teens, there will be a teen only service, led by teens for teens from 10:00am – 11:30am on Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and Yom Kippur.
REGISTRATION & PROGRAM INFORMATION
For the safety of your child and to maintain the holiness of the services, we ask that all children be registered and participate in the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur activities offered at the Synagogue. Those children not registered should remain with their parents at all times. Check in and check out only occur at the front of the Education Building with mandatory security features. All children will be issued a name tag. A second name tag will be issued to a parent only who must have the name tag in order to check out their child. Please DO NOT request to check out your child with a childcare staff member anywhere other than the front of the Education Building.
Daily snacks will be provided on Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Day 2 and Yom Kippur for every child who is registered for childcare. On Yom Kippur, a lunch will be provided for everyone 12 years old and younger who is registered for youth programming or childcare.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
Babies and children can be checked in at the Education Building. Upon check in, each child will be given a name tag with their name imprinted on it. The parents will also receive a name tag with their child’s name. Every young person needs to wear their name tag the entire time he/she is at the synagogue. This is for the safety and protection of your children and will allow us to identify your child(ren) when you come to pick them up. Additionally, children will only be released to an adult with the same name tag.
The playground is used for the children’s program only and is closed to the general synagogue population during the High Holidays for the safety and security of your children.
